Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi is a 2-in-1 Tablet and Notebook for those who like having a tablet and a notebook in one physical device. Asus made T300 Chi for the new generation managing multiple device with saving money. This 2-in-1 device runs Intel core M CPU. It features a 12.5 inches quad-HD touch screen, detachable keyboard and a gorgeous all-metal design. It starts at just $699 and our review unit with upgrade display was $899.
DESIGN
Asus designed T300 Chi as the thinnest detachable 2-in-1 laptop, which makes it quite attractive. Similar to Asus Zenbook , T300 Chi features a great looking, all meta treatment. It is encased in Sapphire-blue paint Aluminum, attached a Asus logo on its center back side. Chi’s detachable Bluetooth keyboard sets on the bottom of the device, that connect the display using magnets. This magnetic grip is pretty string, too. It also has a 2 megapixels webcam. T300 Chi made it difficult to see where the Laptop begins and the tablet ends. The total dimension of T300 Chi is 12.5x7.5x0.3 inches and weights 1.6 pounds. It is wider, thinner, and lighter than the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and small and lighter than Lenovo Yoga Tablet.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The most important feature of T300 Chi is its detachable Bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard is not backlit and is quite noisy. It has a highly tactical actuation force of 63 grams and 1.3 millimeters of travel distance. You can type 84 words per minutes in detachable Bluetooth keyboard. It has a 3.5x1.75 inches touchpad which is slightly bigger than Surface Pro 3 (3.5x1.7 inches).
Display
Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi has a12.5 inches quad-Hd display with 1440x2560 pixel resolution. The brightness of T300 Chi is good which produce 366 nits of brightness and it is better than the Surface Pro 3 (298 nits) and Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 (324 nits) The T300 is also good for color range and it recreating 115 percent of sRGB spectrum which is higher than Surface Pro 3 ( 97 percent) and Yoga Tablet 2 13 (72.8 percent) Asus also features splendid display software, Eye care and vivid.
Performance
T300 Chi is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Core M 5Y71 CPU. $GB of RAM with 128 SSD and 8 GB of Ram with 128 SSD. In Geekbenchs, the overall performance of T300 Chi is 5759 which is slightly higher than HP Spectre X360 (5614) and Surface Pro 3 (5665). Asus T300 Chi can copied 4.97 GB of mixed media files in 2 minutes and 2 seconds with 41.7 MBPS transfer rate. Where Yoga Tablet 2 13 can 39.5 MBPS and Asus UX3054 154.2 MBPS.
Graphics and Battery Life
T300 Chi features Intel HD Graphics 5300 which can handle casual gaming. T300 Chi scored 535 on the 3DMark Fire Strike graphics benchmark and it is better than Asus UX305 (503) and the Surface Pro 3 (456).
The most disappointment side of T300 Chi is its battery life is almost 3 hours less than average of 8.30 hours and 2 hours less than the ultraportable Laptop which average battery life 7.31 hours. Asus T300 Chi lasted just 5.31 hours.
Others Features
T300 Chi comes with a Windows 8.1 with 64-bit version. Asus also include a few tools such as Asus photo Directory. It also features a single micro USB 3.0 port, a micro SDXC card reader, Combo headphone jack, one micro HDM port; above the display it has a 2MP webcam.
