Lumia 640, 640 XL will be unveiled on April 7 in India - Updatetech

In the beginning of April, Microsoft has launched the new Lumia 640 and 640 XL, and now we’re approaching fast the moment when the two new Windows Phone devices will become available for Indian customers, as well. The two handsets are already listed on the official Microsoft India website, which points to the forthcoming  release for Indian consumers.

RELEASE DATE PRICE

Microsoft confirmed that Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL is going to stall on April 7th, next week. Accordind to Indian Dealers that Lumia 640 will be priced at Rs. 9,999 ($160) and Lumia 640 XL will be priced at Rs.13,999 ($225) and there could be some small discounts offer. The price has been initially announced by Microsoft.

DISPLAY

Microsoft made Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL in different size. Lumia 640 comes with 5.0 inches display where Lumia 640 XL comes with 5.7 inches display. Both set have IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 720x1280 pixels. The total dimension of Lumia 640 is 141.3x72.2x8.8mm and weight is around 145g and the dimension of Lumia 640 XL is 157.9x81.5x9mm and weight is around 171g . Both the set support multitouch and is protected by Corning Gorilla glass 3.

CAMERA

There also difference between the Lumia 640 & Lumia 640 XL in Camera. Lumia 640 comes with 8MP camera with 3264x2448 pixels resolution. It also has auto focus and LED flash. It features a 1/4" sensor. The front camera of  Lumia 640 is 1MP. But Lumia 640 XL comes with a 13MP secondary camera with LED flash, autofocus and Carl zeiss optics. It’s resolution is 4128x3096 and features a 1/3’ sensor size. It’s secondary camera is around 5MP.

Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL come with a octa-core Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon processor. Both have Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 and GPU are Adreno 305. The operating system of Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL are Microsoft Windows phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim. Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL have an 1GB RAM. Both internal memory are 8GB and external memory can be enriched up to 128GB by microSD card.
